Terms of use
Last updated November 2, 2026 · Applies to macOS, Windows and this website
These terms govern your use of the SearchBop desktop apps for macOS and Windows, this website and associated licenses and support. SearchBop is provided by TengrX, based in Türkiye (“we”, “us”). Contact: hello@tengrx.com.
1. Using SearchBop
Use SearchBop only if you can legally enter into these terms, or with a parent or legal guardian's permission and supervision where permitted. Comply with the age and account requirements of any connected service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app; contact us about any applicable refund or statutory rights.
Platform requirements, features and distribution channels can differ. The current product listing and package determine which operating systems and features are available. These terms covering both platforms do not promise that every feature or store listing is available on every device.
2. Your software license
When you purchase a SearchBop license, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, personal and non-transferable right to use the app within your purchased plan. Current plans permit up to two active devices in total, which can be a Mac, a Windows PC, or one of each, subject to activation availability and the plan's site limit. Each computer uses a device activation; your data is not automatically synced between them.
The applicable plan, site allowance and price are shown before purchase and in your purchase/license records. A one-time license has no recurring SearchBop license fee. It does not include AI credits, third-party subscriptions, hosting or a promise that external services, operating-system compatibility, support or every future feature will remain unchanged forever. Nothing in these terms removes rights or specific commitments made to you at purchase.
Downloading or installing the app is not itself a paid license. This also applies to a free Microsoft Store download: a valid SearchBop license is still required for licensed functionality. Previously issued TengrX SEO keys remain subject to their original product, plan and device limits.
Keep your license key private. Do not share it publicly, resell or sublicense it, bypass activation or exceed the permitted site/device limits. You retain rights that applicable law gives you, including any non-waivable rights relating to software interoperability or permitted reverse engineering.
3. Purchases and payment providers
Our current checkout is operated by Polar, our merchant of record. If you select “Buy a license” in the app, checkout opens in your browser. Polar processes the transaction, taxes, receipts and the applicable payment or refund process. Review the plan, total price, currency and applicable checkout terms before confirming payment.
The app does not collect your full card details. Downloading through Microsoft Store does not turn a Polar purchase into a Microsoft-billed purchase. If we offer a purchase directly through a store in the future, the store's terms and purchase/refund rules will also apply to that transaction.
4. Refunds and cancellation rights
Our refund policy provides a 14-day request window for qualifying SearchBop license purchases through Polar. Contact hello@tengrx.com with your order reference. Third-party AI or other provider charges are separate and cannot be refunded by us.
After a refund or valid cancellation, the refunded license no longer authorises use. These terms do not exclude statutory withdrawal, cancellation, conformity, repair, replacement, price-reduction or refund rights available to you. Any legally required consent concerning the immediate supply of digital content must be handled as required by law; it is not presumed merely because you read this page.
5. Your accounts, content and permissions
You provide your own AI and other service accounts and pay their applicable usage charges. Their terms, quotas, availability and restrictions apply independently. Supported integrations can include Google, Bing, GitHub, AI providers, analytics/research services, IndexNow and optional Telegram notifications.
Connect only websites, search properties, analytics accounts, repositories and files that you are authorised to access and manage. You are responsible for granting the correct permissions, protecting credentials, reviewing provider data settings and having the rights and legal basis needed to submit content or personal information. Do not submit confidential or sensitive information unless the feature and provider are suitable and you are entitled to do so.
You keep the rights you have in your own content. You authorise processing of that content to provide the features you invoke or configure; you remain responsible for the rights and obligations attached to content supplied to third-party services.
6. AI output, approvals and automation
AI can produce inaccurate, incomplete, biased, unsafe or non-original text, advice and code. Outputs are suggestions, not a substitute for checking facts, rights, security and suitability. Review generated content and repository changes before relying on, approving or publishing them. We do not guarantee that an output is unique, non-infringing or fit for a particular purpose.
Features can read website or repository material and send relevant context to your selected AI provider. GitHub operations can create commits and pull requests; configured local repository actions can write files on your device. Keep appropriate backups and use a review workflow.
Where you enable automatic operation or automatic merging, you authorise the actions within that configured scope without individual approval for every eligible change. Review those settings carefully. Other actions may require an approval in the app or a pull-request review. Scheduled desktop tasks require the app and its worker to be running.
7. Local data and privacy
The desktop app normally stores workspace data on your computer and communicates with the services you use. It does not provide automatic Mac/Windows data synchronisation. You are responsible for protecting your device and maintaining backups. Uninstalling the app may leave its local data folder behind.
The privacy policy explains local storage, credential protection, network requests, licensing, support, retention and privacy choices. Disconnecting an integration or deleting local files does not necessarily delete information already held by another provider.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not use SearchBop for unlawful, deceptive, abusive or rights-infringing conduct, malware, credential theft or unauthorised access.
- Do not misuse website checks, provider APIs or automation to overload services, evade access restrictions or breach the services' applicable rules.
- Do not use outputs to impersonate others, violate privacy, publish prohibited content or misrepresent material facts.
- Do not interfere with licensing or the security of the app or its providers.
We may refuse support or restrict a license where reasonably necessary to address material misuse, fraud or a legal obligation, subject to applicable law and your non-waivable rights. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and allow an appropriate opportunity to address the issue.
9. Availability, changes and results
Search engines and third-party services make their own decisions. We do not guarantee indexing, ranking, traffic, sales, revenue, an improvement in search visibility or continued access to any particular external API or model.
We may maintain and change the app to address bugs, security, platform or provider changes. Update delivery depends on the package/channel you use; do not assume every installation has an automatic updater. We will not use a change to remove mandatory consumer rights or a specific purchased entitlement unlawfully.
10. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the app is provided on an “as available” basis without additional warranties beyond those expressly provided or legally required. You remain responsible for reviewing AI output and changes and for backing up your data.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, search-ranking changes or losses caused by independent third-party services. Where a monetary limitation is lawful, our aggregate liability relating to your license is limited to the amount paid for that license. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable mandatory consumer rights, fraud, wilful misconduct or other legally protected claims.
11. Ending use and changes to these terms
You may stop using the app at any time. Releasing a device activation, uninstalling the app and deleting local data are separate actions. Ending use does not automatically erase order records or information held by providers or create a refund entitlement beyond our refund policy and applicable law.
We will publish revisions here with an updated date and give any additional notice required by law. Material changes affecting an existing purchase apply only as permitted by law and the commitments made at purchase.
12. Applicable law
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections and rights to bring a claim in your jurisdiction remain available. Nothing here requires you to waive those rights or accept exclusive jurisdiction where that would be unlawful.
